The Costa Rican wake

cndlGreat news!  The very talented journalist and translator, Diana Barahona, has finally started her own blog.  Here’s an excerpt from her post from yesterday, which included translated excerpts from Hugo Chávez’s press conference on Friday:

“…what happened in Costa Rica was a miscarriage, it was a miscarriage, and there it is, buried. Nevertheless, since the miscarriage is buried, Washington’s horrible miscarriage, a tiny little candle was surely left there: a commission discussing I-don’t-know-what, until the candle burns out; they are at a wake for the burial in Costa Rica. But the precedent is nefarious; the precedent is nefarious; a putschist, a usurper received by a democratic president.”
